Yes!  Patient balances are due in full by the date on your first statement.  However, if you are unable to pay your full balance, please contact our business office to set up payment arrangements.

Why did I get a statement when I thought my insurance was going to cover everything?

We will send you an EOB (Explanation of Benefits) explaining:

  • What the insurance will cover
  • Insurance adjustments
  • Services that are not covered by insurance
  • Unmet patient deductibles

Please contact the Urology Specialists of Ohio billing department if you have any questions concerning your statement at 937-342-9260.

Why do I owe more than my co-pay?

In addition to your co-pay, you may be required to meet a deductible before your insurance pays towards the balance.  Many insurance companies require us to bill a certain percentage of the total bill to you, for example 20% or 30%.  Please contact your insurance company if you have a question about your percentage of the bill that will be paid by the insurance company.  Also, some of our services may not be covered by your insurance program.
